As a service learning project, the Extended School Summer Camp program made cards for veterans. Children discussed individuals who have served, veterans who have fought for America, and the historical monuments in our country honoring veterans. These cards will be given to Veterans on the Old Glory Honor Flight for Mail Call. Mail Call is a special surprise for all our veterans who fly on an Old Glory Honor Flight mission! Last week Deer Run let the 4th & 5th graders mini-golf for free! He even let them feed the fish. It is a beautiful course and a great way for kids to get active! #brillionlions
The 2nd and 3rd graders learned how to be fluent through reader’s theatre. They had to think about their role and present it in a clear and expressive way. Some of the kids added their creativity through actions and costumes! #brillionlions
