In music class, students are learning about Folk Music. These students are analyzing two versions of, "Little Liza Jane" and using a ven diagram to discuss similarities and differences. The kids did a great job of evaluating what they heard using the Elements of Music wall to guide their thinking. #brillionlions

Fourth-grade students are having fun learning about fractions with play dough! They are creating unit fractions and writing them as a sum of unit fractions and as a product of a whole number and a unit fraction. #brillionlions
Today, March 13, 2024, is National Good Samaritan Day. National Good Samaritan Day reminds us to help those in need by showing kindness and compassion. Whether a small act that seems inconsequential or something big that means life or death, selfless acts of compassion help make the world a better place and strengthen human bonds.
The middle school's literacy committee set a theme for the 2nd trimester and chose compassion. They established a Personal Essentials Pantry in the school. #brillionlions
Students in Mrs. Smits's art class were working on Forms and Shading. If this project was completed they were allowed to draw freehand. The students are creating interesting pieces of art. #brillionlions
The Elementary/Middle School students and staff conducted a fire drill today. The students exited the building properly and lined up properly. They did a great job! #brillionlions

Our middle school Battle of the Books season has come to a close. Twenty-four students participated, and our winning school team went on to compete in the state competition.
One of our eighth-grade teams was our school winner and went on to place 32nd in the state competition. This score put them in the top 20% of all teams. Congratulations, girls! #brillionlions
